Ear Force X11 Amplified Stereo Headset with Chat Review

After reading other reviews and finally making the choice to go with these headphones I ordered them from Amazon. Amazon is amazing at shipping, customer service and all the above. This review is simply of the headphones!!The headphones are easy to use and setup. Simply plug in the USB connection to the 360 USB port, plug the audio cables (white/red) into the 360 or directly to another sound source (TV/Sound System), and plug in the headset wire into the controller (for voice chat in game etc.). These headphones are great for “being in the game” type of sound. If someone is coming up behind you or to your side you can hear it and make the adjustments to not get smoked, or at least put up a fight! Total 360 degrees of sound. I have been muting my TV sound so the only sound that is being heard is in the headphones. This helps when family members are trying to sleep or take a nap. There is enough wire length to sit or travel around a small room. I sit about 8 to 10 feet away from my TV screen. I would recommend keeping a plastic tie around t he cord if you don’t use it all, this will help with the clutter. There are also volume adjusters for chat communication AND game sound. This helps when you can’t hear teammates or when people are being loud and obnoxious but you still want to hear game sound. I have been using these headphones for about a month and my only complaint is a “hissing” noise.
As in other reviews, some complaining more than others, there is always the mention of the noise. Sounds like a feedback problem and I have tried everything to get it to stop. I decided to buy these because I figured the noise, as described by other reviews, was minimal. The noise is minimal and once you start playing a game the noise is lost in the sound of the game. Unfortunately, the noise is always there and I believe is a flaw in what could be a perfect pair of headphones. While in 360 dashboard or waiting for a game you hear the noise. Eventually the noise becomes less of a distraction but is always present and for that I can’t give these headphones 5 stars. I would definitely recommend these headphones or another Turtle Beach set. This set is very nice, very good sound and a good price.

Customer Reviews
Great product for the price. – M. L. Okeson –
I have a wife and two young kids with this product i am able to play Xbox at night without worrying about waking them up. I would highly recommend this to anyone that plays games/watches TV at night and worry about waking up family or neighbors. It is great and well worth the price.Good headset for XBOX 360 – Carolina – TX, USA
I bought this headset for my husband because his had died the day before. It was easy to connect to our plasma with the instructions. We can hear a lot of “new” sounds that were ignored before (clear steps coming from your left/right and similar sounds on Modern Warfare 2 or World at War), and it has individual chat and game volume controls. You can even hear yourself.A thing that’s good but sometimes for us is uncomfortable is the microphone’s sensitivity. When I’m not even playing and say something at regular volume, my voice is heard clearly for my husband’s party or other gamers, even when I’m across the living room. I don’t know how is this going to work later because I’m planning on getting another headset for myself later. (Maybe that can be changed? I haven’t had enough time to check the set). –Well, it is true that you can put it on mute, but if you’re excited playing you don’t want to stop just for that.
I’ve read certain sensitive players mad due to a hissing sound, but every sound can still be heard clearly.
Very good if you want to play or watch movies during the night without disturbing the rest of the family. Recommended.
Note: If you have the HDMI cable and are getting these headphones, make sure you have the adaptor with audio OUT.
